How to control revision with Wordpress
The post “WordPress post revisions delete the (erase)” was written before.
In previous post, its plugin worked to remove all revisions.
In this post, I will introduce the plugin ‘Revision Control‘ that enable or disable revision (created automatically) of WordPress.
Let’s try to install.
First ,You should download zip file (Download : Revision Control).
So, you can install (donwload) zip file from plug-in menu-tab ( [Plugins] – [Add New] – [Upload] ) at “Manage Plugin” after Login.
After installation, enable the plug-in.
Let’s try using.
After you enabled this plugin, you will find "Revisions" menu in Settings tab.
Please click "Revisions" menu. So, you will see the setting page as follows.
You can set whether to enable automatically revision to ‘Post’, ‘Page’.
- Used (enabled)
- Not use (disabled)
- Maximum number of revision
You should set the maximum count save the revision automatically.
If you finish set above parameters, you should save by click "Update Options".
Perhaps, when you disable the auto-save by using this plugin, when you are editing the article, you will not feel heavy by auto-save.
Of course, if you forget to save Post or Page, you will not be able to recover your editing. You must not forget it because you do not say ‘Oh my god’. ()
Also, your site page has a lot of revision might need a few seconds for display.
If you feel it, you should remove revision by ‘WordPress post revisions delete the (erase)‘.
